Dr. Jones is an Internal Medicine Board Certified physician who grew up locally in Virginia Beach. He attended Norfolk State University, where he received his Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiotherapy with a minor in Chemistry. He received his medical degree at Meherry Medical College in Nashville, TN. He completed his internship and residency at EVMS.
Dr. Jones’ professional experience includes both outpatient and inpatient medicine. Previous positions include the founding member and original Medical Director of Chesapeake Hospitalists, and Medical Director and lead physician of the Hospitalist program at Boca Raton Community Hospital in Boca Raton, FL. Dr. Jones continues to practice as a primary care provider with Bon Secours locally, and has been an addiction specialist with Right Path Treatment Centers since 2013.
“My interest in office based opiate treatment is due to the significant need for our program locally. It’s incredibly rewarding to help individuals improve their physical health, as well as social, economic, and spiritual well-being”. Dr. Jones has appeared on Fox 43, as well as FM 99. He is an avid sports fan, and works out 4 to 5 days a week to help maintain physical and emotional health.
